Confounding Contraptions
This is a very big cheevo!
There are 10 contraptions to find in each of the original 11 zones, making 110 in total.
As there is so much to explain, this cheevo has its own separate section of the website.
Cairn Do
It is a very good idea to grab as many cairns as you can while levelling through the zones.
The first time you loot a cairn you will be given a piece of gear that is relevant to the level of the zone that the cairn is in.
Subsequent loots will net you with just grey trash items, so no point to loot them more than once!
There is only one level 30 item, but you can find loads more in the lake of solace cheevo ‘seeking solace’ this cheevo is explained below all the cairns.

Cairn of Bahar Farwind

Located on the mountain between Stonefield and Freemarch.
Rewards gear up to level 30
The first video starts from the coterie camp portal – this route will only work if you have a fast mount!
The second video is of the route to use if you have a slow mount (60% or 90%). You will need to go to Meridian and climb the hill to the left of Meridian, get up to the top of the mountain and then follow the mountain line crest all the way to the cairn.

Seeking Solace
Hidden in the depths of Lake Solace are treasures to find! Each of these treasures contains a level 30 piece of gear, so this is a great cheevo to do quickly when your char dings level 30!
Before you start, go to /setwaypoint 11994 3501 just off Breaker Point in Ember Isle to get underwater breathing for 2 hours.
If you cant get to Ember Isle (too low level) then go loot the first item (number 7 on the map) and open up the bag straight away, this will give you some amphibious brew + your item of gear. This will give you 8 mins of underwater breathing which is enough to get you to the next few locations.
I ended up looting 17 of these while completing the cheevo, which is more than enough to finish without drowning!
You can see on the map that it is much easier to collect the items in a different order than they appear on the cheevo.

Nightmare of the Cultists
You will find hundreds of these mobs in the Firesand Desert area of Shimmersand.
Its a good idea to find a high population ‘town’ of the correct mobs and then kill everything there and switch shards to clear them all again.

This cheevo is earned by completing a series of storyline quests that you will first pick up in Quicksilver College at around level 9 and finish in Sanctum at level 40.
The reward from this cheevo is ‘Scotty’s Companion Whistle’, which summons the pet called ‘Sobek’
